Ryan Poynter, CPA
Ryan is the founding and managing partner of RSP Consulting. Ryan completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at Texas Tech University and began his accounting career in 2014 with Grant Thornton in Dallas, Texas.
After several years and promotions, he decided to transition to the client side and joined the state income tax team at USAA. As a senior tax analyst, Ryan's technical expertise and problem-solving skills allowed him to completely modernize and automate the state income tax provision & compliance tools to maximize efficiency and reduce overall costs by 75%.
While state & local income and franchise tax are his "bread and butter", Ryan also has significant federal tax experience. He has worked with multi-billion dollar clients in various industries including: trucking & transportation, retail, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, restaurant & hospitality and many more.​
Ryan enjoys staying active and appreciating the great outdoors. His hobbies include ultimate frisbee, biking, hiking, and kayaking.

Brittany Poynter, CPA
Brittany Poynter, CPA is the founding partner and organizational strategist of RSP Consulting. Brittany completed her bachelor's and master's degrees at Texas Tech University and began her accounting career in 2014 with KPMG in Dallas, Texas. She has spent a significant portion of her career assisting businesses, individuals, and family groups navigate through an assortment of accounting and tax complexities at both the federal and state level.
Brittany is a member of the AICPA and TXCPA societies. She has experience in a wide array of industries including: construction, real estate, restoration, retail, restaurant & hospitality, manufacturing, medical, personal services, and many others. Her background and passion for inspiring others makes her an invaluable asset addition to your team.​
Reading, horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, design, and of course, spending time with her 3 pups (Luna, Ace, & Goose) are a few of Brittany's hobbies and interests.
